Kitsap Regional Library, Kingston

Kitsap Regional Library (KRL) and Rice Fergus Miller worked together on a comprehensive study to plan the replacement of their Kingston Branch as a piece of Kingston’s new community center campus.   The feasibility included site analysis, library programming, library concept planning, a preliminary project budget, and artistic renderings. The branch library is a 5,000 square foot wing of the new community center. It includes a flexible program space to provide for traditional enclosed meetings as well as for expanded activity areas for teens and young children. The light-filled space includes marine-themed glass art by local artist Lisa Stirrett. www.lisastirrett.com
