Kitsap Regional Library and Central Kitsap School District have partnered to renovate the old Central Kitsap High School 900 building for use as a shared library and administrative offices. The school district will set up its offices on the second floor of the building, while KRL will use the first floor as a public library. Both organizations will share a lobby, public restrooms, classroom, meeting space, and parking.

By partnering with the school district, KRL will be able to double the size of its current Silverdale branch for about half the cost of building a new library. With the 900 building within the campus of the new high school and middle school, the library will also be a short walk for over 2000 students. The campus also includes renovated athletic fields, an auditorium, and a walking trail. Having the library there makes it even more of a destination for the entire community.
