Kitsap Humane Society Adoption Center

The Kitsap Humane Society shelters thousands of dogs, cats and other animals every year. The team had outgrown their space and needed to update and expand their facility to continue to serve their goal to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need.

The large, central lobby is bright and inviting. It provides for an improved working environment for staff and volunteers, plus a better public face. “The intent is to help animals get adopted — and if they are feeling more comfortable and are healthier, they should more readily be adopted” says Executive Director, Eric Stevens.

In the new 9,000 SF space each animal gets much more room to rest and play. There are separate large and small dog rooms, dog lounges, indoor meet and greet areas, a sunny cattery and a small animal room. These large, quiet, and well-ventilated areas lessen stress on the animals. This results in reduced length of stay and more animals find their forever home.
