Kitsap 9/11 Memorial

9/11 is a story about people — a story about those who survived and those who perished. It is a story of humility, courage, and the unselfish pursuits to save someone else. This memorial is a place of remembrance and reflection. It is not to simply be viewed, but experienced. It is intentional that one walks in circles, eyes lowered, stories in granite are read, and walk beneath the steel beams. One can touch the steel, and feel their coldness and strength. Through touch we are connected to those touched by the events of 9/11.
