Hotel Expansion – 7 Cedars Resort Casino
7 Cedars Casino Resort Hotel Expansion is a new five-story hotel designed by Rice Fergus Miller for the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe in Blyn, Washington. This hospitality venue includes a 100-room hotel, conference center, administrative suite and Jamestown Java.
The 100 rooms are designed in keeping with a boutique hotel – uniquely crafted themes of Cedar Forest, Salish Sea and Canoe Journey inspire the palettes, colors, textures and tones in each room.
Each floor of the hotel reflects the different “Layers of Life” found near this scenic location -Water, Land, Sea, and Sky. Materials, textures, colors, and patterns were carefully chosen to immerse the guest in the Pacific Northwest experience. It is important for our designs to highlight tribal traditions and let their identity shine. The shoreline is a significant part of Coast Salish culture. This custom-carpet design harkens water, shore, and a place of gathering. Waves seemingly wash ashore and reveal a pattern honoring the ancestral place held close in the hearts of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.
The Tribe opened the hotel in the Fall of 2020.
“This venue will reflect who we are, and reflects the pristine beauty of the Olympic Peninsula,” said Ron Allen, Jamestown Tribal Council chairman and CEO.
