Bremerton, WA- Rice Fergus Miller has been selected to assist in the revitalization of Aberdeen through the firm’s new projects: restoration of the Morck Hotel, a 1924 grand hotel, as well as the master planning of the blocks surrounding it. Aberdeen Development LLC is the developer.
Mike Miller, Partner in the firm, leads both efforts. He is a native of Aberdeen, and knows the history of the 82-year old hotel. Currently being used as apartments, the project’s vision is to turn it back into a 4-star boutique hotel, resurrect the legendary Highlander Lounge, and include more than 50,000 square feet of retail space in surrounding developments.
The master planning project could include a steak house, bistro and martini bar, coffee shop, destination day spa, brewpub, galleries, book store, condominiums and a multilevel parking garage.
Interior demolition of the Morck is scheduled for October.
