Bremerton School District, West Hills Stem Academy

Bremerton School District has transformed an existing elementary school into the first K-8 academy for students interested in project-based STEM learning in the West Sound.

Rice Fergus Miller has completed the new 14,000 square foot addition to the West Hills STEM Academy. The design incorporates strategies for deep energy savings, and a unique natural ventilation system that becomes a STEM learning tool by inviting students to provide manual operation. This $2.5M project provides six new classrooms and flexible space for project work, display, and community engagement.
